My name is James and I actually perform stone services in San Diego myself along with my co-workers. In these pictures I will be demonstrating the steps I take when I professionally polish stone. This particular stone floor is Travertine although we clean and polish all types of stone and stone tile.

To the right is my trusty polishing machine.  It is a solid weighted and HIGH professional grade stone polishing machine. Polishing grinds off the top layer of stone and usually takes with it all soil present, as well as light etch marks made from water and other damaging agents. It also brightens floors, leaving an impressive reflective surface. You can take your pick between a high or super high gloss finish.

Carpet cleaning machines with clip-on stone and tile cleaning attachments cannot give the quality of clean our dedicated hard surface machine accomplishes. 

Our cleaning machines quickly and easily loosen and remove deep "set in" soiling in your stone floor, stone showers and stone counters.

We always recommend immediately following a professional cleaning or polishing with a top-tier quality stone sealer treatment. Once the surface is clear of soil, you will want us to apply a clear coat of pro sealer to help protect floors from re-soiling and, very importantly, to help protect it from from stone-damaging liquid and oil:

This is the good stuff! Look at how water beads up when our quality sealer is applied. A simple wipe up= no stain!
